Recently ALP Leicester took part in National Internet Safety Day. Abbie and Kyle decided with the success of our own version of the 80s hit TV Show Bullseye last year, they would tackle another classic in Family Fortunes. All the learners involved had great fun and one team managed to claim the prize but only after there was a tie when the game was over.
On Friday 6th. The secondary learners at ALP Leicester took part in First Aid training arranged by our First Aid Team.
Steve from St. John Ambulance service came in and made the training very interactive and fun and all the learners had a great day. So next time you cut yourself you might want to ask your child to patch you now they have had training.

We recently visited the world skills show at the NEC arena on 21st November 2019 and a great time was had by all.
We have recently been using our new studio equipment and have recently made this sound clip. it was so much fun to make and I think every member of primary in someway or another was involved with this.
Last week, ALP Leicester had a really successful ‘No Pens Wednesday’.
No Pens Day Wednesday encourages schools and settings to put down their pens and to run a day of speaking and listening activities. At ALP Leicester, we did just that on Wednesday 13th October. Staff and pupils enjoyed a day of activities – all without a single pen or pencil in sight! In primary, to link with their thematic learning topic of ‘From A to B’, pupils worked in teams to help navigate a blindfolded person around a maze which had been set up in the hall.
In Secondary, pupils took part in various activities, including a giant game of snakes and ladders to support their learning in maths. Staff really stepped up to the challenge of planning a whole day of ‘no pens’ activities whilst pupils enjoyed the different activities planned for them.
